Description
Cycling through the Limburg hills means cycling through a landscape full of natural beauty and cultural history. You will find many old windmills here, such as the Geulhemermolen. You will also pass the Groenendaalsmolen and Neubourgermolen. There is certainly no lack of castles. First you see Sint Gerlach. Further on you pass the castle ruins of Valkenburg, from the top you have a beautiful view. You will find the characteristic South Limburg atmosphere in Valkenburg, Schin op Geul and Gulpen, among others. One village is more beautiful than the other. In Wijlre you will pass a castle and the Mill of Otten. This mill is home to one of the most famous beer breweries in Limburg: Brand. After getting off you can enjoy a well-deserved and delicious meal at Brasserie Bie de Groeve.
