Around the Gooi: Bussum, Laren and Hilversum

Your cycle route starts at Van Beek Tweewielers. You will cycle over the Tafelbergheide, among other things. This gently rolling nature reserve was formed during the ice ages and the area has been heavily inhabited throughout history. Numerous camps, dead ends, urn fields and burial mounds in the area are proof of this. There are many clay pits on this heath, which were created when residents of Het Gooi extracted clay here to build their farms. You will find unique flora in these clay pits. You will also discover Land en Bosch, an estate in 's-Graveland. The country estate is approximately three and a half hectares in size and has a beautiful country house on it. An organic-dynamic market garden and care farm have been created, with a vineyard. Vegetables, fruit, flowers and asparagus are grown in the market garden.
