Description
The route starts on the edge of Heusden. Get on your bike and ride many kilometers along the Maas. Get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the peace and quiet and the view over the water and the floodplains. On the edge of Ammerzoden you will pass Ammersoyen Castle, one of the best preserved authentic medieval castles in the Netherlands. With its striking corner towers and wide moat, it is truly a sight to see. At Herberg de Zwaan you can catch your breath during the tour, while enjoying a snack and drink. Further on you will see Well Castle, a moated castle whose origins date back to the fourteenth century! You will also see three mills from the 1970s on the fortification wall.
