The route starts on the outskirts of Heusden. Hop on your bike and cycle for miles along the Meuse River. Enjoy the fresh air while soaking up the tranquility and enjoying the views over the water and the floodplains. On the edge of Ammerzoden, you'll pass Ammersoyen Castle, one of the best-preserved authentic medieval castles in the Netherlands. With its striking corner towers and wide moat, it's truly a sight to behold. At Herberg de Zwaan, you can catch your breath during the ride with a snack and a drink. Further on, you'll see Well Castle, a moated castle with origins dating back to the fourteenth century! You'll also see three windmills from the 1970s perched on the ramparts.
