A tour through the old forests near Breda

Just below Breda it is beautiful to cycle through the woods. This route takes you through the Ulvenhoutse Bos and the Mastbos. You will also pass through charming Breda itself.

Markdal
First you cross the river Mark. Here you have a beautiful view of the unspoilt Markdal. Further on you can take a look at the nineteenth-century villa on the Wolfslaar Estate, before you drive through the Ulvenhoutse Bos. In this old forest you will find a rich flora, such as sessile oaks and beech trees.

Ginnekenmarkt
At the Anneville Estate you can view the stately villa before you drive into the Mastbos. This nature reserve dates back to the sixteenth century. You will see stately beech avenues, but also conifers. It is wonderfully quiet deep in the forest. In Breda you drive through Princenhage, among other things, and at the beautiful old Haagsemarkt you can clearly see that this district was once a village. The famous Ginnekenmarkt is also a picture!
