A tour through the old forests near Breda

Just below Breda it is beautiful cycling through the forests. This route takes you through the Ulvenhoutse Bos and the Mastbos. You also come through the charming Breda itself.

Markdal
First you cross the river Mark. Here you have a beautiful view over the unspoilt Markdal. Further on you can take a look at the nineteenth-century villa on Landgoed Wolfslaar, before you drive through the Ulvenhoutse Bos. In this old forest you will find a rich flora, such as winter oaks and beeches.

Ginneken Market
At Landgoed Anneville you can view the stately villa before you drive into the Mastbos. This nature reserve dates back to the sixteenth century. You will see stately beech avenues, but also conifers. Deep in the forest it is wonderfully quiet. In Breda you drive through Princenhage, among other things, at the beautiful old Haagsemarkt you can clearly see that this district was once a village. The famous Ginnekenmarkt is also a picture!
