Cycling route Loonse & Drunense Duinen and Moerputten

This route takes you through the Loonse & Drunense Duinen National Park and the outskirts of 's-Hertogenbosch. First you drive through the agricultural enclave that is located in the middle of the national park. You pass through Giersbergen, a picturesque hamlet where you see some old thatched farms. Then you drive into the woods. Enjoy the peace and fresh air. From the national park you drive to two connected nature reserves: the IJzeren Man and the Vughtse Heide. At junction 23 you pass Fort Isabella, a defense structure that originally dates from 1618. The Isabella Barracks was located here from 1917 to 1993. At Grandcafe & Boutique Hotel KASerne you can enjoy a delicious meal and a drink. You drive back to the parking lot along the edge of the Moerputten nature reserve.
