Cycling route Loonse & Drunense Dunes and Moerputten

This route takes you through the Loonse & Drunense Duinen National Park and the countryside surrounding 's-Hertogenbosch. First, you drive through the agricultural enclave that lies in the middle of the national park. You will pass through Giersbergen, a picturesque hamlet where you will see several old thatched farms. Then you drive into the forests. Enjoy the peace and the fresh air. From the national park, you drive to two contiguous nature reserves: the IJzeren Man and the Vughtse Heide. At junction 23, you will pass Fort Isabella, a defensive structure that originally dates from 1618. From 1917 to 1993, the Isabella barracks were located here. Grandcafe & Boutique Hotel KASerne, you can enjoy a delicious meal and a drink. You drive back to the car park along the edge of the Moerputten nature reserve.
