Your route starts at Camping de Wildhoeve, with a cup of coffee at the associated Brasserie de Houtvesterij. The Kopermolen in Epe is a water mill on the Klaarbeek from the eighteenth century. The Kopermolen has milled paper since 1706, but in 1745 it was converted into a copper mill. The Zuukermolen is also a copper mill that grinds on the Klaarbeek. The mill was set up as a coin cutting facility: here the coins were cut from copper coin plates that were minted at the Copper Mill. Production was stopped in 1854 and the mill functioned successively as a paper mill, as a cigar box factory, as a dairy factory and as a laundry. The Wenumsemolen is a thatched ground sailor, which was originally built in Baambrugge in 1840. The mill has been moved in its entirety to this new location.
