Tour of Spui near Spijkenisse

You can enjoy cycling around the lovely Spijkenisse along the Spui. You will encounter special sights, such as an old hall church and the ruins of a medieval castle. Your route today starts just outside Spijkenisse. You drive through the town past the Nooitgedacht flour mill. Further on you cycle a long way along the Spui, a tidal river that was created by a flood in the sixteenth century. You can cycle here in the shelter of the high dike, looking out over the polder. A little further on you will arrive in Simonshaven, on the edge of this village you will see the beautiful white plastered hall church from 1852. Get off at Markt1 in beautiful old Heenvliet! Nearby you will discover the ruins of the medieval Ravesteyn castle. You cycle back via the Bernisse Mill.
