A quiet tour of North Texel

Your route starts at Eethuus Van het Wad. The vastness of the sea and beach, the beautiful forests and the large dune landscape make the Dunes of Texel National Park a beautiful area to visit. The nature reserve is 43 square kilometers in size and forms a sea of dunes as far as you can see across the entire west side of Texel. You will also come across beautiful windmills. Het Noorden is a polder mill just north of Oosterend. The De Hollandse Molen Foundation has restored the mill and made it operational again, so that it can now be put into operation on a voluntary basis. De Kemphaan is a meadow mill, built to flood a bird sanctuary. Also stop at the beautiful nature and sculpture garden De Wije Blick.
