Description

From IJsselstein you can drive straight into the polder. Here you can enjoy the views over the meadows and ditches. Montfoort is the first historic town on your route. Here you can see De Valk, a corn mill from 1753. Along the Hollandse IJssel you drive to Oudewater, the oldest town in the Green Heart. This includes the Waag from 1482, in this building you can see an exhibition about the prosecution of witches. You will also find a lot of cultural history in Woerden, such as a castle that originally dates from 1415. The fortress is located on Defense Island, a small peninsula in the canal. You will also pass the Windhond, a flour mill from 1755. Via De Meern you cycle back to Hotel Epping. Here you can enjoy a nice dinner!
