Description

Your route starts at Camping het Vossenhol. Less than a century ago, Harderwijk was located on the Zuiderzee. The tamed water of the Wolderwijd now laps at the city's quay. Harderwijk is a former Hanseatic and fortified city. The center, which is a protected cityscape, has almost a hundred monuments, such as centuries-old mansions. On the Zeedijk you have beautiful views over the Nuldernauw. It's nice and quiet cycling here. From junction 38 you will see the fourteenth-century Arkemheenpolder on your left, one of the oldest in the Netherlands. Further on you can take a well-deserved break at Gulden Tulip Ampt van Nijkerk. In the Gelderse Vallei you will see beautiful country houses and windmills. On the medieval Oldenaller estate, in addition to the old country house, you will also find two farm complexes and a staff house with a dovecote.
