Renkum, Gelderland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 115770
Provided by: Groots Genieten
The route starts on the edge of Doorwerth. You drive a bit through the forests of the Duno Estate, on the right you occasionally look out over the floodplains and the Lower Rhine. You pass the Oude Kerk of Oosterbeek. It dates from the tenth century, making it one of the oldest church buildings in the Netherlands. Further on you drive through the parks of some country estates, such as Landgoed Groot Warnsborn. You cycle further into the woods of the Veluwe. How wonderfully fresh and peaceful it is here! On the Edese and Ginkelse Heide you will pass some sheepfolds and listening points from the Liberation Route. Doorwerth Castle is the icing on the cake.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
