Description

The rolling heathland near Ede is full of traces of the past. From the Ice Age to the Second World War: it's like cycling through a history book.

Edese Heide The beautiful hills, of which De Drieberg is the highest and consists of 5 burial mounds of about 4,000 years old, are covered with stones from the ice age that gripped the Netherlands about 200,000 years ago . The Ede moraine that runs between Lunteren and Wageningen is also a historical remnant from this time. The Ede heathland is beautiful. Sheep stroll quietly around looking for twigs and twigs, accompanied by a shepherd and dogs.

Liberation Route Get off at the listening point of the Liberation Route (L20: Landings of paratroopers and gliders). The story takes you back to September 17, 1944. A few kilometers before the end of the route you come across the Concordia mill. The octagonal mill from 1865 was restored in 2007/2008 and is now ready for grinding again.
