Tour of culture and nature near Enschede

The start and end point of this route is in the bustling center of Enschede, the largest city in Eastern Netherlands. Not far from junction 35 is the most beautiful synagogue in Western Europe. You also cycle past the Erve Zwartkate farm from 1280, near junction 44. At junction 42 is Het Rutbeek, an area of 120 hectares with forests, water features, meadows and recreational facilities. The route then visits the village of Boekelo, which is also called the'salt village\\\'. You will pass historic salt houses, derricks and the boarding point of the steam train to the Museum Buurt Spoorweg Haaksbergen. You cross Lonneker, known for its characteristic mill, the Lonnekermolen. The Oude Markt with its many terraces is the end point of your cycling tour.
