Description

This versatile cycling tour quickly passes two sights: Nieuw-Herlaer Castle and Haanwijk Estate. After a coffee at Eetcafé De Prins in Berlicum, you get back on your bike. If you continue the route towards Heeswijk, after junction 39 you will pass the famous Heeswijk Castle. This medieval castle is a former moated castle from the 11th century. It is now furnished as a museum. Nature lovers can indulge themselves in the Heeswijk forests between junctions 60 and 61. These forests with pond were created in the 19th century. Berne Abbey was founded in 1134 and is the oldest existing monastic community in the Netherlands. At Next Lunch & Eetcafé you can grab a nice terrace, after which you drive to Sint-Michelsgestel. Here you pass the fifteenth-century Old Tower.
