Description
From Cadzand-Bad you drive along the beautiful North Sea coast of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. After Breskens you turn off and drive through the polders around Oostburg.
Lighthouse
The route starts on the edge of Cadzand-Band. Soon you drive through the dunes. Get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the natural beauty and the views of the North Sea. You will pass the Verdronken Zwarte Polder, a dune area with a lot of shrubs. You will also pass the Nieuwe Sluis: a lighthouse from 1867.
Oostburg
In the polders you cycle on low-traffic roads along grass and arable lands. It is wonderful to make kilometers here in this beautiful wide landscape. What peace you experience here! You drive through the cozy Oostburg and Nieuwvliet, a village where you can see the Reformed Church: a modest, but beautiful building from 1659. You drive along the beach to the starting point. When the weather is nice, you can take a dip!
