Enjoying the beautiful Groote Peel

In the Groote Peel, you experience nature at its best: without infrastructure that mars the surroundings. Around this national park, it is wonderful to cycle through the rural area with its beautiful villages.

Neerkant Further on, you pass through the forests of the Marisberg, the highest point of the Peel. You ride through Neerkant, after which you cycle along quiet roads past meadows and fields. It will take little effort to shift down a gear here and unwind.

Groote Peel At junction 5, you can dismount briefly to walk a short distance into the Groote Peel. Turf used to be extracted here, and this is still reflected in the landscape. For instance, you will find pools of water, small peat pits, and peat canals. From a lookout tower, you have a beautiful view over the unspoiled landscape. Next, you cycle to Panningen and Koningslust, surrounded by forests. What a beautiful region!
