The Wouwse Plantage estate is located on the border of Zeeland and North Brabant, near the village of the same name, which is also called"De Pin\\\" or"Pindorp\\\" in Brabant. The Wouwse Plantage is one of the most beautiful forest areas in the Netherlands. There are many coniferous forests on the estate, while in the north the land has been made suitable for agriculture. It is also one of the youngest estates in the Netherlands and was built in the 16th century. The estate consists mainly of nature; so there are few buildings. The buildings there appear untouched by time. When you cycle between the conifers and undergrowth, you immediately notice the effect of the tranquility on the estate. Several bird species breed in the area. The nuthatch, the woodlark, the green woodpecker, the sparrowhawk, the nightjar and the green, black and spotted woodpecker are just a few examples of the feathered animals that nest in the trees, but on the ground foxes forage, rabbits hop and deer and grazing deer. Especially around dusk there is a good chance to be surprised and come face to face with the wildlife in the area.
