Description
Thousands of flowers in all kinds of bright shades add color to this route. You cycle between the bulb fields of West Friesland, where this sea of flowers germinates. This bulb region extends from the Hoorn to the IJsselmeer, so you can also cycle along the water for a refreshing break and get a breath of fresh air. You cycle a bit through historic Hoorn. You cycle to De Watertoren of Hoorn. Contrary to what the name suggests, this is not the location of a water tower. There used to be a water tower at this location, but a beautiful vineyard has now been created on the spot where the water tower stood until 1970. You cycle to Medemblik and from there you set course back to Zwaag.
