Description
Thousands of flowers in all sorts of bright colours give this route colour. You cycle between the bulb fields of West Friesland, where this sea of flowers germinates. This bulb region stretches from Hoorn to the IJsselmeer, so you can also cycle a refreshing stretch along the water and get a breath of fresh air. You cycle a bit through the historic Hoorn. You cycle to De Watertoren van Hoorn. Contrary to what the name suggests, this is not the location of a water tower. There used to be a water tower here, but now a beautiful vineyard has been planted on the spot where the water tower stood until 1970. You cycle to Medemblik and from there you set course back to Zwaag.
