Render cliff route

The Renderklippenroute connects Heerde, Oene and Epe. Start the Renderklippen route at one of the junctions mentioned (e.g. 62) and follow the arrows with the next junction number (61, 96, etc.) during your cycle tour. The route can be cycled in two directions. For more cycling and walking routes, you can visit VVV Heerde, Kerkstraat 1 or VVV Epe, Pastoor Somstraat 6. In Heerde, near junction 94, Oudheidkamer Villa Jacoba is located. Although this antiquities room is only open to a limited extent, entrance is free. Near the hamlet of Zuuk you can visit the Hagedoorns Plaatse museum farm. This Saxon farm from 1715 is decorated in such a way that it seems as if the family that lived and worked here around 1900 has left for a while. And then the Renderkcliffs, the namesake of this route. The Renderklippen was formed many thousands of years ago by ice, water, and finally man. Over the course of two million years, the Rhine and Meuse deposited countless tons of silt, sand, soil and boulders in the Netherlands. The wind was allowed to take its course and moved large amounts of sand over enormous distances. The dozens of meters high Renderkcliffs, which provide a beautiful view of the landscape, are impressive proof of this. The vastness and desolation of this area are very impressive, especially in dark winter weather. Hills, sandy paths, lakes and a lonely tree here and there are typical of the area. There are deer, deer, wild boars and sheep walking around. The old sheepfold is characteristic of the Renderklikken. The cage provides shelter for approximately 150 adult sheep.
