Description
The nature around Valkenswaard is in no way inferior to the beauty of, for example, the Veluwe. Here you drive through vast forests and stream valleys. First you drive through the Leenderbos with its many conifers. You can cross the border to take a look at the Achelse Kluis Abbey, before driving via Schaft and Borkel to the Malpie. In this nature reserve you will see a mix of fens, forest and drifting dunes. In Bergeijk you made a pit stop on the cozy terrace of Hotel Restaurant BEAU. Just past junction 15 you drive through the valley of the Keersop and the Dommel. Via Aalst you cycle to the forests and heathlands of the Groote Heide nature reserve. Just before Leenderstrijp you will see the St. John's Chapel from 1843 on your right.
