De Groote Peel National Park: 4,000 hectares of ancient raised bog that is still as rugged as it once was. Since then, many thousands of hectares of the area have been reclaimed for agricultural land and peat extraction, but what remains of the nature reserve is now called De Groote Peel. You will also find typical raised bog plants such as sphagnum moss, sundew, and lavender heather. And then there are the rare butterflies and dragonflies!
