From VVV Loosdrecht you cycle over the Oud Loosdrechtsedijk into Nieuw Loosdrecht. You pass the police station on the right, which is located in the former town hall. This dates from 1880. To the left of the road is Eikenrode country estate. The country estate was built between 1845 and 1846 by order of Jan Conrad Hacke together with his wife JCS Elias. The park and house were designed by landscape architect JD Zocher. First the neo-classical villa was built, after which the orangery / coach house, a burial chapel, an ice cellar and a large underground wine cellar were also realized. The estate has been inhabited by four generations of Hacke. After the death of Conrad Jan Hacke in 1969, his daughters were no longer able to take care of the dilapidated estate and it was sold. After 1975 it continued to decline. The Plasmeijer family bought the estate at the end of 2000 and restored it. You continue straight through Nieuw Loosdrecht to the Rading and pass Hilversum airport. You cycle through the towns of Hollandse Rading, St Maartensdijk, Achtienhoven and Westbroek. Past Westbroek you pass the Maarseveenseplassen on the left. A little further on you see the beginning of the Bert Bospad that leads through a beautiful area. Soon you will arrive in Tienhoven where you will see the Tienhovenseplassen. The Tienhovense Plassen were created by peat. Gradually, old peat holes and the legakkers were transformed into a swamp forest in which special plants and animals occur. Today, the management is done by the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten. The seesaw water mill De Trouwe Waghter is located at the Tienhovense Plassen. In a broader sense, the area is part of the Eastern Vechtplassen and the Noorderpark. Further on you will pass through Breukeleveen. On the left the 5e plas and on the right the Breukeleveense or Stille Plas. Via Muyeveld and Boomhoek, two hamlets in the municipality of Wijdemeren, you return to Nieuw Loosdrecht. The end point of this route. This cycle route is offered to you by RBT Gooi & Vecht.
