Description

First you cycle to Etten-Leur and the Zwartenberg mill. This polder mill from 1889 replaces a mill from 1721. In Breda you will come across the Emmaüskapel, part of the Old Episcopal Catholic Church. The chapel was built in 1990. The contrast with the St. Joostkapel could not have been greater: this chapel is the oldest in Breda and was founded in 1436. Over the years, the chapel has served as a warehouse, stable, prison of soldiers and as a home. The Royal Military Academy (KMA) is now located in Breda Castle. The history of the castle dates back to 1350. Another special feature is the Begijnhofkapel, on the oldest beguinage in the Netherlands.
