There is a lot to experience at the bottom of the former Zuiderzee. In fact, an entire city has been resurrected. Discover the secret of Almere full of variety: beautiful lakes, beautiful forests and special architecture. The starting point is VVV Almere in Stadshart Almere, a modern shopping center with special architecture and hundreds of shops. Casa CASLa, the architectural center of Almere, is located on the Weerwater. Just beyond the Stadshart is the Beatrix Park, the largest city park in Almere, with sports facilities and a real Gateway Diner. Restaurant Boathouse is also nearby, with beautiful terraces on the Noorderplassen and even the option to have a BBQ on the water. You will also pass De Realiteit, a village where architects could build their ideal homes. De Trekvogel, a little further away, is the information center about the Lepelaarplassen and the beautiful flora and fauna. We then set course via the Oostvaardersdijk towards the Oostvaardersplassen and De Oostvaarders Nature Experience Center, which provides a magnificent view of this nature reserve. Via the Kotterbos we reach the Eilandenbuurt and the Regenboogbuurt, special residential areas with beautiful architecture and colors. The wooded part of Almere is reached via the rural area, with a beautiful stopping place called Stadslandgoed De Kemphaan, where various nature organizations and a sanctuary for monkeys are located. At the east side of the Weerwater - first water, then drained and now'Weer water\\\' - are Lido (a restaurant where water skiers show their skills on the cable), Camping Waterhout and Haddock Watersport. The penultimate stop is De Fantasie, an architectural project on the water. The last kilometers return to the Stadshart, where you can chat over a snack or drink.
