Silver City
From the parking lot you can drive straight into Schoonhoven. A great start to your cycling day, because in this beautiful old town you will find a rich cultural history. For example, the Waag dates from 1617. The Grote Kerk originally dates from the thirteenth century, but has been renovated over the years. The former synagogue houses Schoonhovens Edelambachtshuys, a museum about silversmithing. In the hamlet of Bovenberg you will then see several centuries-old farms.
Streef church
You cycle along the dike along the Lek. Get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the peace. You cross the water to Nieuw-Lekkerland by ferry. At Lunchroom Eetcafé Plein 10 you can grab a terrace with something tasty. In the area of Streefkerk you will pass several centuries-old mills. The eighteenth-century Sluismolen, Achtkante Molen and Kleine Tiendweg were once part of a mill run. Groot-Ammers is the last town on your route.
