Silver City
From the parking lot you drive straight into Schoonhoven. A great start to your cycling day, because you will find a rich cultural history in this beautiful old town. The Waag, for example, dates from 1617. The Grote Kerk originally dates from the thirteenth century, but has been renovated over time. Schoonhovens Edelambachtshuys, a museum about silversmithing, is located in the former synagogue. In the hamlet of Bovenberg you will then see some ancient farms.
Streefkerk
You cycle along the dike along the Lek. Get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the tranquility. With a ferry you cross the water to Nieuw-Lekkerland. At Lunchroom Eetcafé Plein 10 you can grab a snack here on a terrace. In the vicinity of Streefkerk you will pass several centuries-old windmills. The eighteenth-century Sluismolen, Achtkante Molen and Kleine Tiendweg were once part of a mill corridor. Groot-Ammers is the last town on your route.
