Description
Around Moergestel it is nice to cycle through rural Brabant. You also drive through the Oisterwijkse Bossen and Fens. That will be a beautiful cycling day!
Biest-Houtakker
You cycle on car-free roads past meadows, fields and stream valleys. Enjoy the peace and quiet while you drive from one characteristic hamlet to another in the shade of the trees. Along the way you regularly see a farm of the Kempen long-gable type. Just before junction 90 you drive past the Beerze Valley: a small-scale nature reserve of moist forests and grasslands that are allowed to flood.
Koningshoeven Abbey
Then you cycle a few kilometers through the fragrant forests near Oisterwijk. You will have no trouble here leaving your daily routine behind and switching back. West of Moergestel you drive through the woods again. You pass the Koningshoeven Abbey, a Trappist monastery that was founded in 1881. You can stock up on something tasty in the abbey shop.
