Your route starts at De Koekenbakker. You cycle through the landscape between Boxtel and Best. This is the Groene Woud National Landscape, with its small-scale agricultural cultural landscape. Round fields are a reminder of centuries of cultivation of the soil. Just east of Best, get off at Liberation Route listening point L115: Robert Cole and Joe Man. Then you cycle to the village of Aarle-Rixtel. Just outside the village is the St. Anna Chapel. Before 1628, there was already a wooden chapel here that was regularly visited by pilgrims and in 1628 this chapel was replaced by a stone version. In 1837, the chapel was restored. The statue in the chapel represents the husband of Anna, the mother of Maria. A little further on you come across another chapel: the Sint-Antonius Abtkapel.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
