Heideroute along Mierlo, Geldrop and Heeze

From the parking lot you drive straight onto the Strabrechtse Heide. In this beautiful nature reserve you can see how large parts of North Brabant used to be. You will pass the Hoenderboom here. Once upon a time, the borders of five surrounding municipalities came together here. You can recognize this place by the copy of the old border marker. Further on you cycle through the Molenheide, which was reclaimed just before the Second World War as a job creation project. It is wonderfully quiet cycling through the greenery along the Eindhoven Canal. Via Kasteel Geldrop you drive to Kaffee Peijnenburg & Hotel Nijver for a cozy terrace. You then cycle across the Leenderheide to Heeze. Here you can take a look at the beautiful Heeze Castle, after which you can take a break at Tapperij de Zwaan with a snack and drink.
