Tour of Speulderbos via Elspeet and Garderen

Further on you will discover the Speulderbos, one of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the country. A lot of wildlife lives here, because nature is allowed to run its course freely. The forest also contains the Solse Gat, which was created by a vortex of glacial water during the last ice age. Nearby is the Schovenhorst estate, which is more than 160 years old. The Groot Spriel estate is also worth a visit: the house dates from 1882 and is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped park, in the middle of the woods. During your route you will pass Restaurant't Edelhert, get off your bike and relax here. Enjoy a snack and a drink in the beautiful restaurant. Make sure you are recharged to cycle the second part of the route.
