On the edge of Leiderdorp you drive along the Dwarswatering, a connecting canal that was dug by monks in the Middle Ages. From junction 44 you cycle along the river De Zijl. On the right is the vast Boterhuispolder. Cycling along the Groote Sloot you will pass the Broekdijk mill from 1862. In Warmond you will see some beautiful monumental buildings. On the edge of the village you cycle past the park forest of Huys te Warmont, an estate whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. Via Sassenheim you cycle into the bulb region, further on you pass through the Keukenhofbosch. At Restaurant Hanami Lisse you can enjoy a terrace, after which you drive via Lisse to the Kagerplassen. Here you will see some polder mills and characteristic old farms. You also pass through Rijpwetering and Hoogmade.
