Description
You will soon cycle past Visbrug Town Hall in Oudewater, the monumental town hall from 1588. It was rebuilt after the destruction by the Spanish army and is still in use. In Montfoort you drive through the historic street Om 't Hof. It connects Hofstraat with De Plaats, where the outer bailey of Montfoort Castle used to be. The entrance gate still stands proudly. In beautiful IJsselstein you cycle past De Windotter flour mill from 1732, which beautifully adorns the fortress wall. The mill is still in operation. Then you cycle to Huis Harmelen, a former castle and a knight's court town near the nice old Harmelen.
