After a cup of coffee at Brasserie Cozy you get on your bike. The Leenderbos and the Malpie are part of a gigantic nature reserve that stretches from Eindhoven to Achel in Belgium. Coniferous forests and heaths predominate on the sand ridge, and stream valleys meander from higher to lower areas. There are also a number of fens to be found and the lucky cyclist sees one of the 300 Kempen heath sheep grazing between the tough grasses. The route first runs through the authentic hamlet of Leenderstrijp to the Belgian border. Further on the route you will pass the medieval Venbergsemolen. This water mill ground grain from farmers from Someren, who were obliged to offer their grain here. The Duke of Brabant donated part of the mill to a nunnery.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
