Fancy a short bike ride through nature? Then drive this route. You drive most of the way over the Strabrechtse Heide. This well-known nature reserve in Southeast Brabant covers more than 1,500 hectares, making it one of the largest heathland areas in the Netherlands. It is wonderfully peaceful here to cycle along dry and wet heathland, fens and between coniferous trees. Ideal for relaxing. The heath is grazed by about 300 Kempen sheep. When you encounter the flock and its shepherd, it is as if you have stepped back in time. At Boscafe van Moorsel you can make a pit stop on the cozy terrace, after which you can cycle through Lierop. Here you can admire a number of old buildings, such as the Holy Name Jesus Church from 1892.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
