Tour of Oirschotse and Sonse Heide

From Son en Breugel, take a beautiful ride to the Oirschotse Heide. First, you'll stretch your legs as you cycle along the leafy Wilhelmina Canal. On the other side of the water, you'll pass through Batadorp. This neighborhood was built in 1934 for the workers of the Bata shoe factory. The original buildings are a protected village view. Further on, you'll cross the Beatrix Canal and soon cycle through the woods of the Oirschotse Heide. On the cycle path, you'll enjoy the tranquility and the fragrant conifers. In Oirschot, you'll see several beautiful monumental buildings. At the Vrijthof square stands the Mariakerk (St. Mary's Church), a 12th-century Romanesque building. Just before Best, you'll pass two charming chapels. The route ends at Hotel & Restaurant La Sonnerie.
