Haarlemmermeer, North Holland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 115224
Provided by: route.nl
The route starts at Meerfietsen VOF in Nieuw-Vennep. From here you will make a beautiful trip to the Amsterdamse Bos, in the 1930s as a natural park landscape and recreation area for city dwellers. You cycle straight through the Amsterdamse Bos to the Zwarte Ruiter mill from 1778. The route also leads to the fort at Kudelstaart and the fort at Aalsmeer, two forts that have been well preserved in their original surroundings. They are both part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. The octagonal windmill De Dikkert is relatively young: it was moved from the Zaanstreek in 1896 and now houses a restaurant. You will also pass the Amstelveen Johanneskapel from 1928. Get off at the Amsterdamseweg EMA: here you can take a ride on an old tram!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
