Tour of the District near Duurstede, Doorn and Amerongen

With this you can explore the Kromme Rijnstreek and some old towns on the Lower Rhine. First you cycle through the woods to Elst, after which you cross the river and drive a few kilometers along the floodplains. From the dike you have a beautiful view over the beautiful landscape. You pass a few old farms, you also drive past De Beijenkorf, a corn mill from 1873. Further on are the waters of the recreation area Het Eiland van Maurik. You cross the river again, after which you drive through the historic city center of Wijk bij Duurstede. Just before Doorn you can take a break at Buitenlust Reyck. You cycle through Doorn, a little later you drive over a few estates to Leersum. Finally, you will pass Amerongen Castle and a sheepfold.
