Rippling water, vast fields and orchards: cycling along the Utrechtse Vecht is beautiful. This region is known for its many country estates, tea houses and gardens from the Golden Age. The route starts and ends at Brazzerie Abrona, where you can enjoy a tasty snack and drink beforehand. After a crossing through Maarssen you will pass De Haar, the largest castle in the Netherlands. The castle originally dates from the fourteenth century, the current castle was rebuilt in 1892 in neo-Gothic style. Via Haarzuilens you cycle through the cope landscape around Kockengen. Time for a pit stop: at Abrona Kunst & Koffie you can enjoy a tasty lunch. The last part of the route you cycle along the Utrechtse Vecht again.
