Description

Rippling water, vast fields and fruit orchards: cycling along the Utrechtse Vecht is beautiful. This region is known for its many country estates, tea domes and gardens from the Golden Age. The route starts and ends at Brazzerie Abrona, where you can enjoy a tasty snack and drink beforehand. After crossing Maarssen you will pass De Haar, the largest castle in the Netherlands. The castle originally dates from the fourteenth century, the current castle was rebuilt in 1892 in neo-Gothic style. Via Haarzuilens you drive through the cope landscape around Kockengen. So time for a pit stop: enjoy a delicious lunch at Abrona Kunst & Koffie. The last part of the route takes you along the Utrechtse Vecht again.
