The Kuilen and the Langenboomse Bossen

Your route starts at Brasserie & B&B De Valkhoeve Mill. De Kuilen is a recreational area that offers many opportunities for relaxation, but it is especially enjoyable when you cross the nature reserve. North of De Kuilen are the Langenboomse Bossen, which mainly consist of conifers. Natuurmonumenten is trying to give it a more varied appearance to allow the protected viviparous lizard to return to the heathlands. The medieval Aldendriel castle is located in Mill. This castle dates from 1477 and was owned by a family until 1699. The building subsequently changed owners a number of times and was adapted to the taste of the different families. All rooms have been left in their authentic state as much as possible, which improves the atmosphere.
