Description
The Achterhoek has a lot to offer cyclists. You start your bike ride from Museum MORE on the edge of Ruurlo. The castle is one of the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Since 2017, it has also been the setting for the work and life of modern-realist artist Carel Willink. From here you cycle to Borculo. Just below Borculo you pass the ice cream farm't Dommerholt. Go for a delicious ice cream before you cycle into town. Your next stop is the old undershot water mill in Borculo. The Olliemolle consists of two parts: a corn and hulling mill on one bank and a former oil mill on the other bank. Once out of the city you cycle through forests and fields again. Stop off at Hotel & Brasserie Bosrijk Ruighenrode!
