Round Slotermeer

You make a beautifully varied route around the Slotermeer. First you pass't Lam, a seventeenth-century flour mill. In the Frisian polder you will find extensive grasslands, waterways and plenty of peace. On the banks of the Slotermeer you have a beautiful view over the water. Along the river De Luts you drive through the center of Balk with its characteristic Frisian atmosphere. Further on you will experience the other face of Friesland when you cycle through the Bremerwildernis, one of the forests in the Gaasterland. This nature reserve owes its name to the broom that once grew here. Further on you pass Herberg Boswijck B&B, an attractive accommodation address. A little later you drive through the historic fortified town of Sloten.
