The most beautiful villages in South-East Brabant

Vessem is a quiet village set around a large, rectangular lawn. You'll find centuries-old buildings such as the old town hall, "De Leeuw" (The Lion), and St. Lambertus Church. You'll cycle through the Molenheide nature reserve towards the farming village of Wintelre. In Oerle, you'll find Eetcafe De Kers, where you can enjoy a delicious meal with a view of the heart of Oerle and the neo-Gothic St. John the Baptist Church from 1912. Afterwards, you'll cycle to the village of Duizel, one of the eight villages that belong to the Beatitudes of the Kempen region. The Eight Beatitudes are said to owe their nickname to the Dutch soldiers who were stationed here during the Belgian Revolution around 1830. They considered the region rather poor!
