Canal route - Cycling between Hofstad & Maasstad

The Vaartenroute is one of the most beautiful and fastest cycling connections between The Hague and Rotterdam. The route runs along the waters of the Vliet, the Schie and the Nieuwe Maas and crosses the Hof van Delfland, a network of landscapes and green areas in the middle of the lively cities of The Hague, Delft, Zoetermeer and Rotterdam. Along the way you can enjoy forests, parks, wetlands, historic villages, delicious regional products and the hospitality of the entrepreneurs in Hof van Delfland. The route passes more than 40 bridges and hills. You will also see windmills and old polder pumping stations. The starting point of the Vaarten Route is located in the'Hofstad\\\' at the Lange Voorhout. Here is the Binnenhof, center of Dutch politics. In the'Maasstad\\\' the starting point is on the Nieuwe Maas, on the Willemskade. This cycling route is offered to you by Hof van Delfland Council.
