The Pearl of the Veluwe

Where else but on the Veluwe can you enjoy nature without a care in the world? This cycling route takes you through the area between Ermelo, Elspeet, and Garderen. It is a route where you ride for many kilometers through the forests. On the outskirts of Garderen, you can take a break at De Beeldentuin/Zandsculpturen. After a delicious lunch, you cycle through the Sprielderbos, one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands. You cross the Ermelose Heide; dismount for a moment to enjoy the panoramic view at your leisure. Around junction 84, you cycle a short distance through the Leuvenum Estate. Occasionally, the dense forests here give way to flower-rich grasslands. The Staverden Estate has held city rights since the thirteenth century, making it the smallest city in the Netherlands. At Brasserie Staverden, you can enjoy a delicious meal.
