Tour of Aalten and surroundings

Around Aalten you cycle through the Achterhoek coulisse landscape. Cycling on car-free roads you can enjoy the peace and quiet at your leisure. You regularly pass a beautiful Saxon farm. At junction 72 you make a shortcut through Germany. Here you can still find an eighteenth-century border post with the coats of arms of Gelre and Munster. Just past IJzerlo you pass Boerderij'T Westendorp, a nice place where you can enjoy a coffee or tea with something tasty. Then you cycle for miles through the beautiful countryside. Finally you cycle through Aalten. Here you can see, among other things, the Oude Helenakerk, a late Gothic pseudo-basilica that originally dates from the twelfth century. On the Markt there are several beautiful monumental buildings, this area is therefore a protected village view. The route ends at Suzie\\\'s Farm.
