Around Aalten you drive through the Achterhoek scenic landscape. Cycling along car-free roads, you can enjoy the peace and quiet at your leisure. You regularly pass a beautiful Saxon farm. At junction 72 you make a shortcut through Germany. There is still an eighteenth-century border marker here with the coats of arms of Gelre and Munster. Just past IJzerlo you will pass Boerderij'T Westendorp, a nice place where you can enjoy a coffee or tea with something tasty. Then you travel for miles through the beautiful countryside. Finally, you drive through Aalten. Here you will see, among other things, the Oude Helena Church, a late Gothic pseudo-basilica that originally dates from the twelfth century. There are several beautiful monumental buildings on the Markt, so this area enjoys a protected village view. The route ends at Suzie\\\'s Farm.
