Description
Around Winterswijk you drive on car-free roads through a beautiful scenic landscape. You regularly pass a characteristic Saxon farm. It is so beautiful here that it almost seems as if the area was specially created for cyclists. In the former textile city of Winterswijk you will see some beautiful villas. In the Freedom Park you will see the Jacobus Church from 1869. There is also a boulder from the Ice Age here, it is the second largest found in the Netherlands. Around junction 6 you cycle through an extension of the Korenburgerveen nature reserve, after which you set course for Germany. It is wonderfully quiet in the border area, ideal for forgetting the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Finally, you make a shortcut through the German town of Oeding. The route ends at Holiday Park Hofparken Wiltershaar.
