Tour of Weerribben Wieden National Park

De Weerribben-De Wieden National Park is one of the most important wetlands in Europe. With its diverse array of open water, reed beds, and swamp forests, the Weerribben provides a natural habitat for numerous birds, mammals, and insects. Special attention is given to the Ossenzijl tjasker mill, which has been supplying the polder land beyond with water since 1977. The mill is also well worth a close-up visit and uniquely defines the landscape. The route starts and ends at Geertien Hotel-Cafe-Restaurant – a cozy traditional Dutch pub and a lovely waterside terrace!
