Your route starts at the well-preserved Ammersoyen Castle, one of the best-preserved authentic medieval castles in the Netherlands. With its striking corner towers and wide moat, it's truly a sight to behold. In Bruchem, you'll see the Groenhoven Estate, home to a beautiful two-hundred-year-old villa. Then, you'll explore the monumental city center of Zaltbommel. You'll drive along the Kil van Hurwenen, a floodplain teeming with birdlife. Further on, you'll pass the remains of the largest military structure built by the Spanish in 1599: Fort Sint Andries. Between Rossum and Kerkdriel, you'll look out over the quay, part of the classic Maasheggen landscape with its ancient oaks and hawthorns. Along the way, stop at Cafe Restaurant De Wildse Hut!
