Through the dunes

The tourist Julianadorp is located south of Den Helder. A suitable base for a beautiful bike ride through the dunes. This is a wonderful way to get some fresh air in peace and quiet for you and the children! In the area you will find many campsites and bungalow parks, which immediately gives you a holiday feeling. You leave at junction 18 in Julianadorp. After almost 3 km, via junctions 22 and 08, you have arrived in the dunes. Enjoy the space and peace and why not park the bike and go to the beach? Then climb and descend again through the dunes towards junction 05. That is also the start of the Mariendal recreational area. Access to this area is at the De Helderse Vallei visitor center and is freely accessible, except for the bird meadow and pond areas. The area is easy to view from the viewpoint. Mariendal is still under development and is being designed for nature and recreation. We then cycle back to Julianadorp, via junction 02, 99 and 22 to 18. If you still have energy left, there is plenty of opportunity to go bowling, swimming, mini golf and much more.
