Description
This route takes you past several dolmens that are located around Borger. You can also enjoy the beautiful Drenthe landscape. First, you cycle past a place where five dolmens are located close together: D21 to D25. Via Buien you cycle to Boswachterij Exloo, a wonderfully quiet nature reserve. Here you can take a look at the dolmens D29 and D30. Around Westdorp you cycle through a wide landscape of grasslands and fields. Further on you cycle along the Buinen-Schoonoord Canal, which was constructed in the 1920s as a job creation project. The canal has never been profitable and is now only used for recreation. Finally, you cycle through the vast nature of Boswachterij Gieten-Borger. Via Gasselte you return to Camping het Horstmannsbos.
