Description
This cycling route takes you along the many mills, green meadows, polders and typical dike villages of the Alblasserwaard. Along the way you will get to know the way in which the Netherlands deals with water, for example the impressive windmills of World Heritage Kinderdijk. The 19 Kinderdijk windmills symbolize the way in which the Netherlands uses water. Here you will discover how the area has been kept dry since the Middle Ages. The museum mill and the Wisboomgemaal information center provide a picture of water management. Along the way you will encounter many other windmills, including: 1. Windmill De regt 2.
